Coastal container ship capsized, sank in Gulf of Siam

Container ship SUNTUDSAMUT 4 with 42 containers on board capsized and sank at round 0200 LT (UTC +8) Nov 3, 4.8 nm off Sai Ri Sawi Seaside, Chumphon Province, Thailand, Gulf of Siam. The ship left Surat Thani at round midnight Nov 2, certain for Laem Chabang, however developed checklist. Ballast administration didn’t assist, checklist was growing till Captain ordered the crew to desert the ship. all 10 crew have been rescued by close by fishing boats, alerted by Chumphon authorities. The ship reportedly, sank by stern. Containers are stated to be loaded with timber.
